So I did my part and finally purchased a NEW manual transmission. Albeit a 2019 so $8k was generously knocked off the hood. So far so good. Excellent fuel economy and acceleration. Definitely a nice ride with great handling and supportive seats.

I downsized while the deals were hot. Gas is cheap so everyone is jumping for trucks like idiots. Also for some reason within a 50 mile radius there were 6 GLIs all spec'd the same in my area. Down to the color. Nobody could seem to move them. Sticker was for $27500 and I got it for $19500. I wanted a GTI but they were still to rich for my blood. Even if they were 2019 they still wanted $25k plus.

That’s a great deal. VW dealers are definitely willing to deal with leftovers. My last 2 GTIs were leftovers and were 7k and 9k off. Can’t imagine getting that much car fro under $20k. I’d have had a hard time justifying the extra for a GTI, too.

Congrats! Read/watched some reviews they’re all very positive. Seems like a lot of bang for your buck

And I loooove the GTI. Only way I can get one for the price I paid was to go the used route and get a 2017. Some had the features I wanted but it was frustrating finding one with both the light and performance package. Figured why by used when I can get a new car for the same price.

Do it. I was considering an Alltrack as well. They were starting a little over $20k after the discount. Would've swung for one but none came equipped the with headlight package.

I’ve done months of research on it and that was the same conclusion I came to. Had to figure out if a GTI was really $6k more of a car and came to the conclusion it wasn't.
